Why do we like this?

I’m an absolute sucker for free-form jazz. Throw in a hefty dose of electronica and funk and I’m yours forever. Sweatson Klank has produced an absolute banger of a track that you can get up and jive to just as easily as you can sit and listen to with a pair of quality headphones while appreciating every textured beat.

“The Road to Love” is soulful, progressive, and contemporary, and showcases Sweatson Klank’s forward thinking approach at its finest. It’s bright and clear with brassy hi-hats aplenty, a groovy-as-hell saxophone, some bassy, soulful vocals, and melodic keys that just won’t quit. This is easily my favourite of his tracks so far, particularly for the way it incorporates an old-school feel to a decidedly and assertively new-school track.

This lively little nugget was released as a single ahead of Sweatson Klank’s new EP, Jewels From the Sun, which will be out June 25.
