At a time when a lot of hip hop is pursuing a washed out, "based" sound, it's reassuring to see at least one artist is remembering the genre's jazzy origins.
Step forward Supnater. His music still has the slightly faded, not-quite-there sound being plugged by the likes of Clams Casino and Lex Luger, but also incorporates jazzier elements, primarily the trumpet the winds beneath his flow.
