During my time with Indie Shuffle, Perth-based Sun City has been one of my most consistently blogged-about acts. Despite my musical tastes changing dramatically over the past few years, my enjoyment for the duo's music has not. After a bit of a hiatus, the boys are gearing up for the release of a new EP, with their brand new single "Paralyse" premiering here today.
Parts of the track highlight the band's new tropical identity, but there's still plenty of that slick, indie pop sound we've become accustomed to over the years. The opening island beats soon make way for up-tempo electronic grooves and magnetic vocals. This is the perfect track to showcase the band's continued growth on the strong base they've perfected over time.
Keep an eye out in the new year for more polished electronic music from Sun City.
