Why do we like this?

It took me a while to get into Sufjan Stevens' "Wallowa Lake Monster" but at the end of the day, I kind of like any song that reminds me of Edward Scissorhands. 

It takes a while to get there, but when the choir-like vocal harmonies kick in, Sufjan wins me over. I'm a total sucker for a good choir. Add a wonderfully eerie feel to it, and you've pretty much made a fan out of me. "Wallowa Lake Monster" allows me to imagine what living at the bottom of a murky lake, filled with other creatures, would feel like.
