Why do we like this?

I've been listening to this song on repeat since it came out on July 8th. Jason featured Stray Fossa's "Are You Gonna Be Okay" earlier this year, which is how I initially started listening. That track was a little more bedroom pop; lo-fi and lowkey, closer to a Real Estate type of sound. "For What Was" highlights a slight switch in style; increasing the tempo and sprinkling more synth lines in there. I'm loving the updated sound they've produced with this one.

Stray Fossa is a group of three people: Nick, Will, and Zach. They write, record, and produce all of their music in their attic studio in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Needless to say, I'm hooked.
