Sly 5thave is a busy guy. He performs regularly with Prince and he's about to hit the road with Quantic -- all while still creating original music for himself. In the midst of all that, he's started a monthly jam session in Brooklyn called The Jelly, creating space where all his musically inclined brethren can gather and feed off each other's energy.
For those of us living a few thousands miles away from the nearest A train stop, Sly has been kind enough to press record on some of the magic from these sessions.
"Lot More Livin" is a sublime tune enlisting the talents of Kelyn Crapp on guitar, Kevin Moerhinger on trombone, Clynt Yerkes on trumpet, and Denitia Odigie on vocals. Effortlessly cool, this could easily become a Sunday morning staple.
