Why do we like this?
A few months ago, I was anxiously awaiting a new single from a band called Young Digerati. They would post teasers of the new single and kept telling their fans it would be released "soon." Well, it never came, and it turns out they actually recently broke up -- so much for waiting!
I can safely say some good came out of the breakup though; frontman Jeff Thompson created his new project, Strangeheart, with Brandon Queen in L.A. last December. The result? Their debut single "Another Life" speaks for itself -- it is pure indie pop bliss. Whether you're taken away by the enchantment of the bouncy synths or Jeff's swooning vocals, this hook-filled number is bound to get stuck in your head for days on end.
Pretty fast work for a duo that's only been together for a couple of months! I'm definitely looking forward to much more this year.
