Why do we like this?

We're more than a little excited by this track from future bass newcomer Stikkman.

This isn't just another recipe of minimal 2-step drums and vaguely ambient synths. Yes, it does have those - and R&B vocal samples to boot. However, also incorporated is a trumpet - adding a whole new element to the song, reminiscent of Groove Chronicles' track "Stone Cold" - one of the precursors to the whole bass obsession currently sweeping the world.

It seems that music really does move in circles.
