Steve Lacey hits that perfect balance between urban sad, slow rap soul and a narrative filled with 'dopeness.'
There is something tactile about this track, it's a romantic exploration of missed chances and the irritation of that. Steve Lacey has this soulful voice that has a hint of frustration, an amount just big enough to get the point home, but also not too much.
The urban sound is not only addictive but also just well designed, it has this cut-off about halfway through the track that not only creates intimacy but also just hits home how committed you are to the track.
