Why do we like this?

Pitched up vocals have a tendency of rubbing me the wrong way, and make me feel like I'm watching the Chipmunks movie. However, when they're well executed, like the way Steve James processed them with this record, I find myself in an utter state of confusion.

Like, why is this so damn good? I shouldn't like this that much. Somehow I slept on this one, as I'm twelve days late to the party, and it's already been streamed over a quarter of a million times on SoundCloud alone. Well, better late than never, I guess.
