Why do we like this?
Last year, I came across Minneapolis indie rockers Step Rockets and their single "Kisser" for the very first time. They went on to do great things, even topping the Hype Machine charts at one point. This was in July 2013, so I suppose that they're due for some new releases, right?
Enter L.A. duo RII. They whet our appetite on this sublime remix of "Kisser," which just elevates the original track to new levels for me. The added percussive elements and fast beats gives the track that much more punch and overall prowess, all while maintaining the passion.
Step Rockets will be performing four shows at the SXSW showcase this year, so make sure you catch them live!
