Why do we like this?

My attention was caught this morning when I heard the upcoming single "The Mountain Dogs" by Liverpool girl-trio Stealing Sheep, to be released Valentines Day, 2011. The group's sound is unique: distinctively lo-fi, featuring three-part vocals, psychedelic guitars and a bit of organ/synth.

Working with the girls, first time producer/arranger Joe Wills has helped the group create a 'magical doom' atmosphere featuring chaotic harmonies, pitch shifts and a little bit of cassette-tape-sound. They'll begin a tour of the UK at the Kazimier in Liverpool with Lone Wolf and Owls hosted by Harvest Suns on the 5th of February 2011.
