Why do we like this?
Yesterday, Stealing Sheep reached out with a remix of their track, "Noah's Days." Given the sound of the artist's last song to be featured as Song of the Day [here], I found myself a little skeptical about whether it could be any good. To date, 95% of remixes feature some form of electronica and/or hip-hop. Fortunately, my skepticism was damned, as Colo [soundcloud] of Take Records takes a unique approach by converting the track into something of a dreamwave single.
While I really enjoy the unique drumming and downtempo feel present in the original, it's interesting to observe that at this point, practically any song can be remixed. This may perhaps ad weight to the observation that, in many aspects of life, we create some of our best content when we let others weigh in.
