Why do we like this?
April has been a great month for Canadian indie rock, with a new track from Broken Social Scene and now a brand new remix off the newest Stars album (premiered on The AV Club yesterday). To make the news even better, the remix is by the electronic producing mastermind Com Truise.
The original track, "Hold On When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It," was one of the singles off of Stars' newest LP The North, and was filled with plenty of indie pop Canadian goodness. With Com Truise at the helm, it's turned into a trip to outer space via an 80s science fiction flick. It's dripping with other worldly synthesizers and some off-kilter drum beats layered over melodic melodies that have made Stars the indie rock darlings that they are.
This is definitely one to add to the best remixes of the year list, so enjoy!
