When I first came across Stahsi, it was as a feature on Airwolf's "Lose The Lazy" single, which came out earlier this year. You may also be familiar with him through his feature with fellow Melbournian London.
The title single from Stahsi's upcoming EP, "Solo Hunter" was a track I just couldn't bring myself to stop listening to for a good few hours after first stumbling across it.
Effortlessly ticking all the boxes, distinct folk-style songwriting draws the listener in, while beautiful, melancholy piano and atmospheric synths cause the song to slowly swell. Understated drum samples and heart-wrenchingly poignant guitar melodies at the end really bring the track into its own. I'm a fan!
Safe to say I will be watching out for the EP and regularly checking Stahsi's Facebook page for new material.
