Why do we like this?
Under the alias Spies on Bikes, Nathan Cochran has delved into the dreamy haze of electronica. He's been perfecting his live performances, in which he reproduces his recording process while exhibiting live vocals. He's also working with the Relief In Abstract record label, which has gifted us the phenomenas XXYYXX and GRANT and is constantly toiling away for the next discovery. Spies On Bikes is currently perfecting his debut EP under yet another name, Furabo. Whatever he wants to call it, we'll listen.
Long-titled and valiantly vocaled, "Long Walks and Recorded Talks" is the sound of spring. A giddy romance that bops into your life and makes every aspect of your day glimmer in optimism lends itself to the background of this song.
With the promise of warmth on the horizon, we enter the season with caged joy on the precipice of a release. "Long Walks and Recorded Talks" starts with a slow strum of the guitar, escalating with hollow percussion that embodies a waking feeling of joy. Enjoy!
