Why do we like this?
I don't know about you, but I like to kick off my work week mornings with some good-time vintage inspired rock n' roll. It might sound strange to you, but something about the vintage scuzz and scratching relaxes me, gets my brain juices flowing, and prepares me for the crazy workload ahead.
Today, straight from the heart of Houston, Texas, we have Cisneros & Garza Group's cover of the Spencer Davis Group's 1967 jammer, "I'm A Man." These funk rock guys take the original, slap some jazz flute on it, pump up the percussions, and groove in some more electric guitar, creating a vibrant version that leads in comparison.
Although there seems to be no background story on these Texas natives, my guess is that you will be hearing more from them in months to come. Check the track and judge for yourself.
