I’m a little late getting on this one, but it’s a case of better late than never.
Speelburg is Noah Sacré, a young American-Belgium producer who now bases himself out of the UK, in Brighton. Indie Shuffle featured his debut single last month, and he’s backing it up with this release, out late last week.
The intro of classic strings and muffled beats certainly got my early attention here. But then this track takes a totally different direction with a quite extraordinary mix and gradual build up of strings, piano, trumpet, hand claps, and vocals. As if that's not enough, it’s all contained and couched around a slow, muffled and downtempo beat. How is all that even possible inside one track?
But who cares how it's done? This track nails it for its exceptional mixture of so much of everything going on, so seamlessly, and all at once. Exciting stuff for only your second ever solo release.
