Why do we like this?
I can't get enough of the lovely lo-fi vibes of Leeds-based singer/songwriter Soulmates Never Die, otherwise known as Joshua McCarthy.
"Kyss Kyss," taken from his recently released EP, Nothing Hurt, Everything Was Beautiful (which features such endearingly titled tracks as "Love Me Like A Comic Book"), showcases McCarthy's breathy vocals to perfection.
Driven by melodic guitar layers and muffled, rumbling drums, his joyous sound takes inspiration from the eclectic likes of Yo La Tengo and Elliott Smith and manifests itself in a buoyant brand of irresistible indie flick fodder.
