Soft pop seems to be dominating the music industry nowadays, and yet, this song appears to be hiding under the radar. Sophie Meiers gives off a mellow and chill vibe. The zany guitar riffs that slide in and out in the background mixed with her weightless voice are a cool combination.
In this song, the singer begs the listener to get her out of her head, but this song has me too far inside my own thoughts. The line, “maybe this is as good as it gets,” repeats from start to finish. Every time she sings it, I sink further into my mind.
Meiers has been featured on some awesome tracks with artists like Cautious Clay and Vansire, but I love hearing her all by herself. Her talent just radiates.
