Why do we like this?

If my research is right, Sonya Kitchell is gearing up to release her first new album in seven years That's a pretty large gap for a modern artist, but I clearly dig the results enough to be here sharing it with you today.

"Hurricane" is the second single off upcoming release We Come Apart. It's a slow-burning folk song that will no doubt please fans of Feist, and hints at good things to come.

The album is available for pre-order here. If you're in NYC, be sure to catch her album release show at the Mercury Lounge on January 22nd.
