Why do we like this?
SoftSpot is trio of Southern musicians who have recently transplanted in Brooklyn, New York. Sarah Kinlaw and Bryan Keller Jr. started the project back in 2009, but they have known each other since they were 5 years old, growing up in North Carolina. Atlanta native Blaze Bateh joined the band in 2012.
That year, they self-released their first 12", EnsÅ, a collection of home recordings. Now, they are set to release something new, titled Mass. It was recorded in Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and finished up in Brooklyn. Mass will drop April 8, 2014, but they released a new song recently to preview the record, called "You / Yours."
