Why do we like this?

While I could let Sofie Winterson's voice tell it all, perhaps its best if I briefly introduce you to the lovely lady.  

Sofie Winterson is a Dutch singer-songwriter who hooked my ears at first listen with her sultry voice. Riding high from the success of her previous single "Said and Done" -- as well as multiple showcases at this years SXSW -- there is no doubt that Sofie Winterson is an entrancing songstress.

Premiering on Indie Shuffle, her newest single "River" is a dark and melodic track that initially haunts you, but eventually rises to evoke nostalgic dream-pop vibes. By combining atmospheric electronic elements with pendulant guitars and keys, "River" emerges as a powerful and evocative song. Personally, I'm feeling an undeniable connection to CATHEDRALS and/or Beach House. Ya dig?
