Why do we like this?
New York-based SOFI TUKKER have been one of the more interesting bands to emerge in the last year, and I've found myself watching their progress quite closely.
While their introduction to the world came through an upbeat, banging single, this newest track called "Déjà Vu Affair" sees them slow the tempo down significantly -- almost as if they're channeling The xx.
I'm a little uncertain how I feel about it: I suppose that bcause I've come to expect danceable singles, it's throwing me for a bit of a loop. On the flip side, perhaps that's a good thing: 1) evolution; 2) requires more-focused listening.
