Why do we like this?
Soccer Mommy is gearing up to release her debut album. Until then, we have her newest single, "Your Dog," to build up the anticipation.
As sweet as Sophie Allison's voice may sound, this song is seething and unapologetic. Soccer Mommy is singing about what some of us don't have the guts to say. It's as relatable as it is catchy. The instrumentals lie on the low end as the vocals bring a brightness to what would be an otherwise dark song.
As with pervious Soccer Mommy tracks, Sophie Allison's distinctive voice and writing style is easy to pinpoint and easy to love.
Soccer Mommy's debut album comes out on March 2nd.
