I have been following mysterious French duo Sobcek! (previously known as Walter Sobcek) for a while now, and the release of their new track "Stepping Out With Kate" seems like the perfect occasion to introduce you to these guys.
Their music is very reminiscent of the 80s but, as the likes of Chromeo, they have added to it something resolutely fresh and innovative. And a touch of deliberate, upbeat cheesiness and kitsch, maybe?
Sobcek! also has a strong visual identity and their music videos further strengthen their world. Roller skates, nice ladies, sunset, party and good vibes are keywords in their philosophy (just have a look at "Jetliner" music video below!).
