I want to write "“ once
more "“ about
SNOWMINE, who held their album release
party last night at
Glasslands in Brooklyn.
Recovering nicely from an opening false-start, SNOWMINE delivered a show packed with passion, persuasion, and promise. I say passion because their love of their audience (friends and family, filled with infectious cheer) imbued this show with extra special warmth for music that certainly warranted it. Persuasion, in that I fully buy the sound and the greater vision they submit to us. And, most importantly, promise -- this a band with something special, and it's a pleasure to watch them grow into the boldness of their music.
Could it have been tighter? Of course. But technical difficulties aside, it's rare to feel totally participatory in something that will assuredly snowball into a movement.
I encourage you all to go see them
live, if you are able. You will not regret watching this band as they blossom in such a stage of tremendous evolution.
Listen to "Rome" off of
Dialects, which they've released themselves and you can pick up
here.
