Snarls Twenty

As someone currently trying to make it through their early 20s, I’ll shamelessly admit that I am not who I thought I was going to be. This totally relatable theme is amplified through this song’s lyrics and a sound that’s nostalgic of early 2000’s emo bands, like Paramore and The Get Up Kids. And come to think of it, that actually makes sense, considering that Snarls describes their work as “glitter emo alt rock.”

The coming-of-age lyrics meshed with edgy guitar riffs subtly gives the single an angsty vibe. It’s easy to hear the emotion pour out from the singer’s gutsy vocals. Similar to the other tracks on their debut album,Burst, which was released in March, this song radiates the group’s unique spin on the rock and alternative genre.
