Kind of unrelated, but is anyone else longing for more nouveau superhero films? I'm not usually one to use reviews to breach irrelevant topics (that's a lie), but this one just seemed a bit more important than usual.
Maybe these movies would be a bit more interesting if Batman had a romantic past with the Hulk, or Wonder Woman was busted for committing tax fraud.
Nobody really wants to watch another exhausting action flick where a permed and spandexed white man saves the world from an equally spandexed villain who is busy trying to take over/destroy the world. Surely these bad guys want something else. Perhaps something a bit more meaningful? Like, what about spiritual enlightenment?
Maybe they just want good new music. In that right we have them sorted. Smokey Motel's latest "I Die" is something out of the top drawer. So, thanks guys, I guess you're superheroes.
