Why do we like this?

Formerly known as Seaver's Express, Boston-based rock outfit Small Talk has no intention of resting on its laurels.

In that vein, today we're premiering the band's psych-rock-leaning debut single, "Retrogradient," a track that has a bit of an Animal Collective/psychedelic vibe.

The single jumps out to me for its subtle guitar progression, a foundation of throbbing bass, and vocal harmonies that create an atmosphere much more expansive than its three minute run time.

Small Talk's debut EP is on the way, so keep posted by using the social links below. Based on "Retrogradient," it should be a fun trip.
