If you aren't yet on board with Aussie duo Slum Sociable, let me be the one to tell you that that's about to change. Ever since we first heard "Anyway" back in January, we've been waxing lyrical about "jazz-hop" pair, and their tracks -- which are not only captivating, but completely original sounding.
Following on from the recently released "All Night" is the glorious new "Paradigm," which we're premiering today. It is the final single to be released ahead of their debut EP, produced by Big Scary/#1 Dads mastermind Tom Iansek.
The track opens straight into an eerie, seductive atmosphere, weighed down by a hollow bass, before slowly building up beneath the the sultry, if off-kilter vocal melody. As interesting as it is atmospheric, I love every minute of this surreal, dark, wholly captivating single.
Slum Sociable will be releasing their highly anticipated debut EP, TQ, this week on October 9 via Liberation.
