Really taken with this new Czech R&B alt release: evocative vocals against slow, sober sounds. Slightly sardonic, yet oozing with emotion.
Slowmotiondancer is Dominik Gajarsky, a Prague-based artist and producer. Couldn't place his sound in the beginning -- I originally described it in early drafts as a weird mix between Nicholas Krgovich and Daughn Gibson, with some Xiu Xiu tossed in.But then I realised it's the same Dominik Gajarsky of Palermo, the Czech synth-pop band. No wonder it sounded so "solemnly" familiar.
Dominik's full album, Life is Fine, is available in full onBandcamp. Hat tip to Freddy Rupper of Former Ghosts for sharing.
