This is my second time picking up on Slow Pulp, and the third time that the US-based quartet has found their way onto Indie Shuffle. Clearly they've got something good going on, because I find myself consistently enjoying their style.
"Steel Birds" keeps things fairly classic within the "dream gaze" niche, with a simple melody and crisp production. There aren't many frills, and yet they manage to keep me engaged.
The band has a new EP2 project lined up, with this as the latest taste, and while this one's good on its own, I'm hoping the songs diversify themselves a bit.
