Any Tame Impala fans out there? That was the first band I thought of when listening to "Everyone Needs Someone" by Ohio-based Slow No Wake. It's hard for me to understate how much I am digging the psychedelic vibes on this track, even though Slow No Wake is a one-person act and has technically classified "Everyone Needs Someone" as a demo.
Demo or not, I had to share this track. It resonates with me in the same way certain Youth Lagoon and Porcelain Raft songs do. There's a spaciousness to "Everyone Needs Someone" that allows me to take my shoes off and get lost in it. I can feel that slide guitar in my bones, and want to be best friends with all that reverb.
I discovered Slow No Wake on Twitter. Check out his SoundCloud for more psychedelic jams, and prepare yourselves for his debut album, which should drop by the end of the summer.
