When I first heard the opening notes of "Glaze," I knew that I was going to absolutely love this track. The airy, warbled sounds immediately filled my mind with psychedelic imagery and transported me to a pastel colored beach somewhere on the coast of paradise.
There is something deceptively optimistic about the song and I can't help but feel a special kind of warmth run through my body whenever I hear those beautifully lo-fi guitar strains playing through my headphones.
The infectious summery jam was made by Slaughter Beach, a Danish trio who've already made quite a name for themselves with last year's Love/Venice EP—a collection of equally amazing guitar pop songs. "Glaze" is the follow up to that project, as well as two other singles released in 2015—"Spinning Globe" and "ClearInsight"—and based on what I'm hearing here, the band is sounding better than they ever have.
This dream-pop masterpiece is the stuff legendary indie film soundtracks are made of and I would keep an eye out for these guys, because they are definitely on to something great.
