A few of us here at Indie Shuffle have been on board Swedish newcomer Skott ever since she dropped the folk-tinged "Porcelain" last year. This was followed by the earthy "Wolf," Lykke Li-inspired "Amelia" and the dance-pop rhythms of "Lack Of Emotion."
Continuing to make her sound hard to define, new single "Glitter & Gloss" embraces electronica while retaining a natural vibe, with Skott's lush harmonies providing the ideal balance between the soundscapes she's playing with.
As NME reported, Skott the balance of both folk and electro influences below:
“You really have to stay true to your guts and how you feel in your tummy. If the song needs a really heavy beat, even if it doesn’t work for your image or whatever you just need to do what’s best for the song. That’s what I’m trying to do – always trying to think what’s best for the song."
