Why do we like this?

Skott is moving away from the sound she established with her previous two releases. Instead of the breathless folky heights we heard on "Wolf," her follow-up "Amelia" reaches downward towards a darker melody.

The production is amped up on this one, adding emotive and unexpected layers to the track. The indie-pop confection reflects on the quixotic and explosive ideals of young love.
