Umoja is Swahili for unity. I actually knew that already. When I visited Tanzania I learnt a bit of the language. Most of it has faded, but I still remember one line, it goes: "Yeye antaka kunyoa ndevu."
Low and behold, I've recalled it perfectly -- I'm sure of that because the Google translation is verbatim, it's: "He wants to shave his beard."
It's arguably one of the most useless sentences to learn. Unfortunately, I've never been one to dictate what sticks in my memory. Skinshape, though, is an altogether different story. One of the most noteworthy artists in my repertoire.
Filoxiny is a great album to get stuck into if you're wanting more from the Brit, Will Dorey. Oh, and if I forgot to mention, which I did, his latest album, Umoja, is also a blast.
