I am a little surprised that DJ/producer Addal hasn't made his way onto Indie Shuffle yet. His blend of minimal and emotive electronica is proving really popular. More than a few of his remixes and originals this year have had over a million hits on his SoundCloud. Not half bad!
So who is Addal? He is Alessandro Addea, an Italian DJ out of Milan. If we dig a bit further into his Facebook page, we can see that as an electronic music maker he tries to inject emotion into his tracks, that is, to give us "the pure essence of love turned into music."
I say he hits that brief with this remix. Comparing it with the original that was featured on Indie Shuffle last month, Addal has added a stronger but muted bass line. He’s kept and chosen to feature that familiar guitar riff, snippets as loops of Sirena’s soft vocals, and the pretty piano solos that highlights the original.
