Silver Swans Sea of Love

Ann Yu and Jon Waters of San Francisco's duo Silver Swans have released their first single from their sophomore album Touch. Their title track, "Sea of Love," embodies Yu's sentiments about starting a new relationship. "The newness of it all overwhelmed me with questions of the unknown, the intensity of the feelings, and the hope that what you are experiencing is truly real. The song is about rediscovering yourself through the eyes of your lover and about embracing their wonderment, by letting go of all fear and choosing to feel," reflects the lead singer.

"Sea of Love" carries an ethereal and airy vibe that is reminiscent of established dream pop band Beach House. Right off the bat, you hear Waters' influence, with electronic drums that clearly have an 80s feel to them; the electronic beats add a layer of eletro-pop to an otherwise sleepy song.

Formed in 2007, Silver Swans based their moniker off three fictional characters with powerful tidal voices in the Wonder Woman stories, which only lends itself to a fairytale intrigue. Their catalogue consists of two LPs and an EP that are full of hypnotizing and alluring vocals. They have found their sound and don't seem to waiver from it.
