Why do we like this?
Seems like we're getting a little more Swede-on-Swede action with this latest remix from the one and only Jens Lekman. "14th of July" was featured on the Shout Out Louds' fourth album, Optica, which was released in earlier in February this year; according to the indie pop group, it was one of their favorite tracks that they wrote.
Enter Jens Lekman to do what he does best. But do the tropical beats ensue in this particular remix? They sure do, with a delightful and playful rework of what was a rather dark disco original. It features a wonderful string arrangement and all round great summery pop vibe. You can honestly tell that Jens had a lot of fun remixing this one for his fellow countrymen.
We like your work, Jens, we like it a lot!
