Why do we like this?
I'm on a bit of an indie rock binge right now, owing to my being on tour with The Plastics and Al Bairre. So far it's been an absolute shit show -- clearly owing to copious amounts of alcohol and the general mayhem that accompanies a 35-person tour.
One positive outcome has been that I've learned about a whole bunch of new bands -- including Johannesburg-based Shortstraw. Their song "Couch Potato" is played as a cover by this tour's opening act Jason Gladwin and the Deep Blue, and it never fails to throw the crowd into a frenzy.
