Why do we like this?

Shields' new song "Chequered Love" starts off as a fairly safe and predictable indie pop song -- albeit of the highest quality.

In light of that, I was on the fence. That is, until the ~1:40 change-up came into play. From there I was hooked, and I have a feeling you might be too.

"Chequered Love" was recorded at RAK Studios in the UK, and will be released as part of a limited edition vinyl on May 27th. Grab your copy here.
