Why do we like this?
A couple days ago, Lauren shared My Morning Jacket's cover of Buddy Holly's "True Love Only." Now, off that same tribute album, we've got a track titled "Oh Boy" from She & Him. While the song was actually sung by The Crickets in 1958, it still seems a fitting member of the album.
In fact, it seems fitting of She & Him's sound in general. Zooey Deschanel has always had a very unique voice, and when backed by M. Ward's instrumentation, the duo no doubt have a distinct twee sound. Thus it makes perfect sense to me to hear them playing a 1950s cover.
