The other day I posted on Facebook asking to hear what everyone was listening to at the time. Music can really do so much for someone. It's not always about what you're listening to, though. For me, it's about the setting and experience the record provides with whatever I'm feeling.
I do a lot of my work from Starbucks, so my response from music is dictated by not only the way it makes me feel, how I'm feeling, and what I'm working on, but it's obviously also by how much caffeine I've drank that day. Today, I'm under-caffeinated, but overjoyed about German producer Delusion's newest tune.
The pitched vocals on this SG Lewis remix sound almost like a cry of love and excitement to me, while the less processed vocals lean more towards the soulful side of things. Despite the quality of them, it's not really the vocals that one me over in this, though. What really did it for me was the atmospheric percussion. Every space in this tune is filled to perfection.
