Why do we like this?

Pulling from the heartfelt sentiment of "Dear Mama" and the irreverence of Mr. T's "Treat Your Mother Right," SelfSays completes the matriarchal tribute trifecta on "Granny."

Over a bubbly feel-good beat, SelfSays revels in celebration of his grandmother. We learn her favorite drink (Vernor's), her favorite shows (Prison Break and 24) and her prime get-down hours (between 7pm and 10pm).  

Easily my favorite song on SelfSays' Sleeves EP, I'm won over with how excellently the song celebrates the heroics in the mundane. It's so unabashedly loving and happy. Granny is a queen forreal.
