Why do we like this?
I'm impressed with this dream pop track from Berlin-based artist Sea Change (yes, named after the Beck track), aka Ellen A. W. Sunde. It features some lovely loop-based sounds sitting on top of gentle Norwegian vocal harmonies. It's said to be sort of 80s-influenced, but actually reminds me more of an electronic solo version of Beach House. Very chilled out.
As described on sleepinmusic, its got "subtle textures and soft ethereal vocals [that] build into something perfectly dreamy that begs a bit of escapism." I couldn't have put the words better together myself; it's definitely of the contemporary psych pop variety, but more along the lines of Lykke Li than, say, Youth Lagoon.
