While Kendrick Lamar is tied up in a feud with GQ over his Man Of The Year cover, fellow Black Hippy member ScHoolboy Q has decided to drop a new tune, the conveniently titled, "Man Of The Year." While it might sound like a cash in on Lamar's recent controversy, "Man Of The Year" was first heard earlier this year when a segment of the track was debut at the end of Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" film clip.
Taken from the
NBA Live 14 soundtrack, "Man Of The Year" is another pearler from Q, featuring a sample of Chromatic's "Cherry" that lays the foundation for the taunt, tight production from Nez & Rio. Q is on point as usual, delivering another top notch single to add to his highlight reel.
While we're still waiting on his major label LP,
Oxymoron, tracks like this are proving Q might just have what it takes to be man of the year in the near future.
