Why do we like this?
"Collard Greens" is another ScHoolboy Q number that's found its way on the Internet today. Q seems to enjoy dropping tracks without warning; this is taken from his much anticipated debut album, Oxymoron.
Joined by label mate Kendrick Lamar, the two Black Hippy members drop quality rhymes over a pulsating beat that never lets up. Q is especially punchy with his raps, but I have to hand it to Lamar who goes H.A.M. on this one. Rapping in Spanish and murdering the beat, Lamar continues to prove he is at the top of his game. It takes nothing away from Q, whose two verses are incredible, but when you have someone like Lamar on a track, it's hard not to come off second best.
