Why do we like this?

Scholar is a fresh new duo out of Brisbane, and if their first offering is anything to go by, expect to hear a lot more from them in the near future.

Comprised of Luke Cuerel and Nick Kirk of Indie Shuffle favorites Pigeon, their new single debuted just last week.

"Skin" is as shiny as they come, a pulsating electronic jam containing elements of nu disco and plenty of tropical grooves. What strikes me about it is its delivery -- the guys haven't tried anything outrageous here, but what they have done hits the mark perfectly. 

Sit back, strap yourself in, and enjoy "Skin." It's aptly named, as this smooth track will soon get under your skin.
